New Delhi: One of the most successful captains of the Indian team, MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game. The legendary wicket-keeper batter is the only Indian captain under whose captaincy the national team became world champion twice. Even several years after Dhoni's retirement from international cricket, the love and admiration of his fans has not decreased a bit. Dhoni's contribution to cricket has been honored by many across the country.

Meanwhile, a life-size wax effigy of Dhoni has been unveiled in Chamundeshwari Wax Museum in Mysore, Karnataka to honor the veteran cricketer. The picture of Dhoni's wax statue, posted on Friday morning by Twitter user @mufaddal_vohra, has gone viral on social media. The image since then has garnered hundreds of comments and likes.

Reacting to Dhoni's wax statue, many fans on Twitter pointed out that the statue doesn't resemble the two-time World Cup winning skipper at all.

Dhoni has been seen taking part in business activities at various public events these days. Last month, he was seen playing golf with veteran cricketer Kapil Dev in Gurugram. The two also participated in the 2022 US Open together in New York. Dhoni will return back to cricketing action in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.

The CSK legend had confirmed last season that he plans not to call it quits before playing for the Chepauk crowd in Chennai. The veteran asserted returning to play for CSK in IPL 2023 would him to say "Thank You" to fans for their support.

"Definitely. It's a simple reason: it will be unfair to not play in Chennai and say thank you [to the fans]. Mumbai is one place where, as a team and as an individual, I have got a lot of love and affection. But it wouldn't be nice to the CSK fans," said Dhoni after winning toss against Rajasthan in their last league stage match in IPL 2022.
