“Following a complaint filed on September 10 denouncing acts that could be described as attempted sexual assault and sexual exhibition, Mr. Conor Anthony Mac Gregor was the subject of a hearing by the police,” wrote the prosecutor’s office in a statement sent to AFP.

However, the former two-weight UFC champion denied the allegations."Conor McGregor vigorously denies any accusations of misconduct. He has been interviewed and released,” his representative was quoted as saying by tmz.com.

The former UFC champion is no stranger to controversy as last year he punched an elderly man in an Irish bar in a dispute. Later the Irish star offered guilty plea in the Dublin court and apologized to the victim.

The Irish mixed martial arts star is the biggest ever PPV draw in MMA history. The biggest and most controversial name in the business announced his retirement from UFC following conclusion of UFC 250 event.

Mcgregor became the first ever fighter in UFC history to hold titles in two weight divisions simultaneously. Mcgregor held the UFC title for featherweight from 2015 to 2016 and lightweights from 2016 to 2018.
