New Delhi: England cricket team's former captain Kevin Pietersen misplaced his PAN card after which he has sought urgent help from India. Pietersen took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal that he misplaced his PAN card and expected to get help from the concerned Indian authorities. The veteran also tagged Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet. Reacting to his appeal, the Indian Income Tax department offered to help the cricketer-turned-commentator.
"INDIA PLEASE HELP. I’ve misplaced my PAN card & travelling Mon to India but need the physical card for work. Can some PLEASE PLEASE direct me to someone who I can contact asap to help me?," Pietersen tweeted.
Replying to Pietersen's tweet, the Indian Income Tax Department shared some links that could be useful if he has his PAN details with him.
In another Tweet, the Income Tax department informed Pietersen to formally write to the two respective departments in case he has forgotten his PAN details.
Pietersen's love for India is not hidden from the world. Recently, PM Modi, on the occasion of Republic Day on 26 January, had written a letter to the former cricketer. Pietersen had then expressed his gratitude to PM Modi upon receiving the letter. The veteran often visits India for commentary and is also associated with the commentary panel in IPL.
