The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (April 25) announced a 15-member squad for India vs Australia World Test Championship (WTC) Final in June. Veteran batter Ajinkya Rahane made his comeback to India's Test team after being ousted from the red-ball format following India's tour of South Africa, last year. Rohit Sharma & Co. will go up against Australia in the much-awaited WTC final, set to be played from June 7 to 11 at The Oval in England. Reacting to the announcement, cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra said he was happy for Rahane, while posing a tough question for the selectors over Suryakumar Yadav's 'inclusion-exclusion'.

"Happy for Rahane. But how does the SKY inclusion-exclusion make sense?? Select kyon kiya…kar liya toh ek match ke baad drop kyon kiya? (Why did you select him and if you did, why drop him after one match)," tweeted Chopra.

Suryakumar Yadav was part of the Indian team against Australia for Border-Gavaskar Test series but has not been selected for IND vs AUS WTC Final. Yadav not getting picked in India's WTC Final squad, being dropped after just one Test match for India, calls for a debate. Aakash Chopra feels a player of Yadav's caliber shouldn't have been dropped so early.

Apart from Suryakumar, Kuldeep Yadav and Ishan Kishan, who were part of 3rd and 4th Test against Australia, have also not been picked for IND vs AUS WTC Final. Another big name missing from India's squad for WTC Final is Shreyas Iyer, who won't professional cricket for next few months due to his injury. Most likely, Ajinkya Rahane will play at number five in Iyer's absence.
