RCB Defeat DC To Clinch Maiden WPL Title

RCB concluded their campaign with 4 victories from 8 matches, securing the third position in the points table. Their journey to the final was marked by a thrilling last-ball victory against the Mumbai Indians in the eliminator.

In the final showdown, Delhi Capitals made a swift start, but RCB regained momentum thanks to Sophie Molineux's exceptional performance. Molineux's dismissal of Meg Lanning, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Alice Capsey in the 8th over marked RCB's resurgence. Despite DC's initial advantage at 64/1, the RCB spinners dominated, ultimately leading to DC being all out for 113.

Notably, Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, and Ellyse Perry all contributed with scores exceeding 30 runs, while Richa Ghosh provided the final flourish, sealing RCB's historic victory.
