Deepti bowling the 19th over for Warriorz.
15 Off The Over. RCB- 141/5 after 18 overs.
No stopping Richa Ghosh though. She has continued from where she left before the break. A four down the track, a four with width on offer, a four towards third man. Ghosh is putting on quite a show. McGrath looks clueless.
Second Wicket In The Over for Rajeshwari. This time it's Georgia Wareham who goes back without scoring. It's sliced at point where the fielder takes an easy catch. RCB- 125/5 after 16.2 overs.
And a wicket first ball after break. It's Gayakwad who takes the wicket and S Meghana will have to walk back for 53 off 44, out stumped after the bowler shortened her length. Great bit of glovework by Healy. RCB- 125/4 after 16.1 overs.

Half-Century For Meghana. What an innings. She has a job remaining but she has stepped up and how in this fixture.
A six off the bat off Meghana followed by a boundary from Ghosh. That's more like the attacking approach, they wanted. RCB- 90/3 after 13 overs.

Just 6 Off The 10th then. RCB- 64-3 at the halfway stage. Their captain said at the toss a good score here would be 175 plus. They have a lot of work to do if they are to reach that tonight.
Richa, Meghana Batting Together, by the way. The keeper-batter has managed a boundary off the over. RCB need plenty more of those.
Saima Thakor Will Have A Bowl now. Immediately after the break.
Time For Rajeshwari to roll her arms over and she back it up with another top over. Just 3 singles off it. RCB- 58/3 after 9 overs. Time for a Strategic time out!

Three Boundaries and 2 Dropped Catches In That Over. First Mandhana got a life. Easy chance, should have been taken in the square leg region inside the ring before Meghana scored a couple of brilliant shots for boundaries before the fielder reached there for an aerial stroke by the batter but couldn't hold on to it as it went for another boundary. RCB- 36/1 after 5 overs.

Hello And Welcome to our live coverage of WPL 2024 match 2 set to be played between RCB and UP Warriorz. What an opening game we witnessed between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the same M Chinnaswamy Stadium yesterday and if that is anything to go by, this promises to be a fantastic competition.
Background
WPL 2024, RCB vs Warriorz LIVE: The Women's Premier League (WPL) is well and truly underway. The tournament opener was quiet a thriller with the first match of the competition going down to the last ball. Eventually it was the defending champions Mumbai Indians (MI) who beat the last year's runners-up Delhi Capitals (DC) to kick off what promises an exciting edition of the tournament.
In match number 2, it will be Royal Challengers Bangalore (RC) who will take on UP Warriorz at their home venue-the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. While Bangalore had a disastrous run last year and only managed to win 2 out of their 8 matches, Warriorz made it to the Playoffs but were knocked out by eventual champions MI in the Eliminator. Both teams, however, would want to start afresh with a win.
All in all it promises to be an thrilling affair as there are heavyweight players on both the sides with the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry in the Bangalore camp and Alyssa Healy, Deepti Sharma and Sophie Ecclestone in the other. The management would have a tough job, in the words of Healy herself at the pre-match press conference, to decide the Playing 11. Stay Tuned For Toss and Team News as we inch closer to the start of play at 19:00 hours (IST).
