Women's T20 Challenge, Supernova vs Velocity Toss Update: Mithali Raj's Velocity Win Toss, Opt To Bowl First Against Harmanpreet Kaur's Supernovas At Sharjah.
After the end of the high-octane league stages of the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020), now begins the much-awaited Women's T20 Challengers Trophy. Supernovas and Velocity – the last season’s finalists – will kickstart the proceedings of the Women's T20 Challenge when they square off at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium tonight.
All the matches of the Women's T20 Challenger Series will be held in Sharjah between November 4-9. Amid Coronavirus pandemic, T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Jemima Rodriguez completed nine days of quarantine in Mumbai. During this, many RT-PCR tests were also conducted.
The three teams of the tournament will be led by Mithali Raj, Mandhana and Harmanpreet. The tournament will also begin the Indian women's cricket season in which foreign stars such as Diandra Dottin, Sophie Ecclestone, Daniel Watt, C. Attapattu will also participate.
The BCCI started this tournament in 2018. In the first tournament, only one match was played in Mumbai. Then the Supernovas led by Harmanpreet Kaur defeated the Trailblazers by three wickets. All matches will be played in Sharjah. The first match will be played from 7:30 in the evening.

Here's What Captains Have to Say After Winning The Toss
Mithali Raj: We will have a bowl. We've got three seamers in, there will be a bit of breeze and it will get easier to chase in the second innings. For women's cricket, it is very important to have this yearly basis. It's also a great platform for young cricketers. We saw Shafali doing great for India.
Harmanpreet Kaur: We were ready to do both, we weren't dependent on the toss. We were champions last year and will keep continuing to do the same. We will look to enjoy ourselves. I want to put myself more into batting, hopefully I'll bat little up and give a good start to my team.
