Virat Kohli has constantly been making headlines in the ongoing IPL 2023, be it with the bat or a verbal banter, he is doing it all. On Tuesday, he came up with a heartwarming gesture and acknowledged Suryakumar Yadav's post his heroics with the bat for Mumbai Indians against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Mumbai-based batter Yadav smashed 83 off 35 balls and helped Mumbai thrash Bangalore by six wickets.

Even after losing the game, Kohli acknowledged Surya’s batting, who single-handedly took the game away from RCB. RCB's stalwart batter hugged him and congratulated him on his knock.

While chasing RCB’s total of 200, Surya played a blinder and built a crucial 140-run stand with Nehal Wader who also scored an unbeaten 52 and powered Mumbai to a fantastic victory with  21 balls to spare at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday.

Earlier, RCB’s skipper Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell made half-centuries and helped RCB score 199-6 on the board.

"Much needed from the team's point of view. I am very happy to win a home game like this. I mean they come up with a plan. They tried to make me hit to the bigger part. Take the pace off and bowl slowly. I said Nehal let's hit it hard and hit it into the gaps and run hard."

"Your practice has to be the same as what you intend to do in matches. I know where my runs are. We have open net sessions. I know my game. I don't do anything different," Suryakumar said.

Apart from Surya and Wadhera, opener batter Ishan Kishan also hammered 42 runs and gave Mumbai a solid start while skipper Rohit Sharma's string of low scores continued as he departed for seven.
