Umran Malik is known for his lethal pace as he can clock 150 kph on a regular stretch. On Sunday, he showed his class one again in the IPL 2023 match against Rajasthan Royals as he rattled the stumps of Devdutt Padikkal with his breathtaking pace. From the very beginning, Rajasthan Royals were dominating the game with Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal scoring a terrific fifty each. It was Faizalhaq Farooqi who dismissed both the in-form batters.
Since both the openers walked back to the pavilion, it was Samson and Padikkal who continued the proceedings from there. But then, Umran was then asked to bowl and he dismissed Padikkal.

Talking about the match, Rajasthan Royals outplayed the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 72 runs. After being pushed to bat first, Jos Buttler and Jaiswal started brilliantly and scored a half-century each. Skipper Sanju Samson also smashed a fifty. With the help of the first three batters, Rajasthan put up a huge total of 203/5 in their 20 overs, with Shimron Hetmyer also contributing with a crucial 22 off 16. For Sunrisers, it was T Natarajan who starred with the ball as he took 2 wickets for just 23 runs while Fazalhaq Farooqi picked up 2 after conceding 41 runs. Umran Malik also contributed by taking 1 wicket after giving away 32 runs.
In reply to that, Hyderabad batters were clueless ever since they started batting in front of the Royals’ bowlers. Once again, it was the wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who wreaked havoc with the ball after scalping 4 for 17 and helped his side win the match by 72 runs.
