Star India batter and Royal Challengers Bangalore is widely regarded as one of the greats of the game. When it comes to modern-day cricket there aren't too many cricketers who can be compared to the right-handed batter and what he has achieved year after year at the sport's highest level.

Other than being a sporting idol, he is also a youth icon and a fashion inspiration for many around the world. And recently the batting master was seen sporting a new tattoo on his arm. While little was revealed about his body art, in a recent revelation, his tattoo artist has now disclosed the story behind this recent art.

"I could hardly believe it - this cricket superstar was actually a fan of our work! Despite his immense fame, Virat was incredibly humble and down-to-earth. He had no airs or attitude and genuinely appreciated our work and wanted me to work on his next tattoo," Sunny Bhanushali, the founder of Aliens Tattoo, said in a blog.

"He wanted to cover-up his old tattoo with a new one. A new tattoo that would reflect his spirituality, something that would represent the interconnectedness of all things and the source of creation itself, something which depicts higher ones and oneness, the structure of life, the source of all," he added.

Bhanushali further said that he was excited about working on this project as he was clear that it meant a lot to Virat.

"It was clear to me that this tattoo meant a lot to him, and he was determined to get it just right. I poured my heart and soul into the design, meticulously crafting each element to perfection," he said.

On the professional front, Kohli is part of the RCB squad which started off its 2023 campaign with a win over Mumbai Indians at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
