Virat Kohli is considered to be one of the finest cricketers to have played the game. He once again showed why he is rated so highly as he smashed his sixth IPL century on Thursday during the SRH vs RCB clash. Kohli scored 100 runs in just 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and four sixes and helped RCB chase down a total of 187 runs with four balls to spare. Apart from Kohli, Faf du Plessis also contributed with 71 runs off just 47 balls and helped his side win the game by 8 wickets.

Post the game, Kohli was spotted giving autographs to players of the Sunrisers’ team. Even opponents were in awe of Kohli’s heroics with the bat. A video has gone viral on social media after IPL’s official handle shared a video. In the video, SRH players were standing around Kohli with bats, shirts, and caps to get his signature.

"Quite special considering the magnitude of the game. Thought SRH got a very good score. Ball was gripping as well. Faf's been on a different level. I've had a quiet couple of games. The way I was hitting in the nets wasn't transitioning into the middle."

"Very similar to how AB and me batting together. There's a good sense of where we (he and du Plessis) are and how to take the game forward. It's been a beautiful transition for us coming together for RCB at the top and making an impact," Kohli added.

The Bangalore-based franchise openers Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have become the most successful duo in this year’s IPL. Both have added 872 in 13 innings in the ongoing edition of the 2023 IPL. They also reached the milestone of making 1000 runs as an opening stand in IPL history in the match.
