Chennai Super Kings are currently taking on the Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League fixture at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. While captain MS Dhoni, who is leading the Chennai franchise for a record 200th time in this match opted to won the toss and choose to bowl first, after the early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal Rajasthan duo of Jos Buttler and Devdutt Padikkal had started to take the match away from the home team.

However, it was then that the captain decided to hand over the ball to left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja. It was Jadeja's double-wicket over that helped the four-time winners made a comeback as he removed a well-set Padikkal for 38 before ending Sanju Samson's stay at the wicket in just 2 balls. Overall, Chennai managed to keep RR down to less than 180 with Jadeja finishing as the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/21. Akash Singh and Tushar Deshpande also scalped a couple of wickets each but conceded 40 and 37 runs respectively in their 4 overs. Moeen Ali was the other wicket-taker for CSK and got the big wicket of Buttler.


For the inaugural champions, it was Buttler who top-scored with a 52 off 36 balls. Devdutt Padikkal (38 off 26), Ravichandran Ashwin (30 off 22) and Shimron Hetmyer (30* off 18) were the other significant contributors in RR's innings.

Both these sides have won two of their three matches so far and a win here will take them to 6 points from 4 matches. Last season, RR had finished as the runners up, while Chennai ended ninth on the ten-team table.
