Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a heart-breaking defeat in their IPL 2023 face-off against the Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday. Despite scoring 212 runs with each of their top three batters including Virat Kohli scoring half-centuries (61 off 41), their bowlers failed to defend that total despite getting off to a good start.

Eventually, Bangalore lost the match on the last ball by 1 wicket. Nicholas Pooran (62 off 19) and Marcus Stoinis (65 off 30) scored blistering half-centuries for the visitors who eventually had to depend on a 'bye' on the final ball to end up on the winning side.

Hours after a tough defeat though, Kohli found a way to overcome the result and relax a bit before focusing on the journey ahead. The former Bangalore skipper was spotted by the pool along with his daughter Vamika. He shared an adorable poolside pic with her which has gone viral on the internet.

He accompanied the picture with a heart emoji.

Here is Kohli's post:

Meanwhile, Bangalore's defeat to Lucknow means they have now lost two of their first three matches and consequently find themselves at the seventh place on the points table. While they started off with a win over Mumbai Indians, they have now lost in back-to-back matches against Kolkata Knight Riders and Lucknow.

Their next match will be a afternoon game on the coming Saturday at their home ground against Delhi Capitals who haven't yet registered a win this season. With their regular captain Rishabh Pant not with them this season, David Warner is leading the Delhi franchise and has been on the receiving end of criticism for his strike rate even though he has been amongst runs.

Delhi have a game before that Bangalore match as well as they take on Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium later on Saturday.
