Virat Kohli is not only one of the best cricketers in international cricket but he is also one of the finest batters that has ever participated in the Indian Premier League (IPL). His numbers speak for himself. While his tally of most number of runs in a single IPL season worth 973 in IPL 2016 remains unrivalled, there are several records that the right-handed batter owns and he has just added another record to his already impressive list.

During the IPL 2023 match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and the Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Kohli scored yet another half-century as he made 50 off 34 balls. On the way to his half-century, he also became the first player in the history of the tournament to score 2500 runs at a single venue. He achieved the feat when he got to 11 runs at Bangalore's home ground- the only franchise that he has represented in his entire IPL career.

The former captain of the RCB franchise has an enviable 5 hundreds in the competition to go with his 46 half-centuries. His individual best score is 113 and he remains the all-time highest-scorer in the competition with 6342 runs at an average of 36.43 and a strike rate of 129.72. The second name on this list is that of the Punjab Kings captain Shikhar Dhawan who has also been in tremendous for this season so far. Dhawan with 6086 runs at an average 35.18 of and a strike rate of 126.92 is followed by Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma who has 5764 runs to his name at an average of 30.66 and a strike rate of 130.29.

While Rohit hasn't had a few good seasons in the build up to this tournament, he scored his first half-century in over two IPL seasons in MI's match against Delhi Capitals and the five-time champions would want him to continue the good form.
