Women's Premier League (WPL) has finally become a reality. While there were several experts and pundits who were advocating for an IPL-like league for women's cricket in the country, finally the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was able to launch such a league with the first match of the inaugural season successfully conducted on Saturday.

And now the cricketing fever will take over the country. Sunday (March 5) happens to be a double header and the second fixture on the day will see the UP Warriorz take on the Gujarat Giants. For Warriorz, this will be their first match in the tournament in contrast to Gujarat who faced a heavy defeat against Mumbai in the tournament opener.

Moreover, Gujarat captain Mooney also walked off with an injury and is unlikely to feature in this match, implying vice-captain Sneh Rana might have to take on the leadership role. Delhi will be led by Alyssa Healy.
