T20 World Cup 2021: After IPL 2021, the T20 World Cup is scheduled to begin in UAE and Oman from October 17. Team India's campaign in the T20 World Cup would begin on October 24, with their match against Pakistan.

Mumbai Indians players, who are a part of the Indian Cricket Team for the T20 World Cup, would be checking in to their hotel today. Mumbai Indians have been eliminated in the league stage of IPL 2021. MI captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rahul Chahar are MI team players who are a part of Team India for the T20 World Cup.

However, the situation of Hardik Pandya's fitness is still under not clear.

MI, who were last year's IPL champions, were unable to perform well enough to reach the playoffs this year, but MI players who are a part of the Indian Squad are determined to outperform in the T20 World Cup.

Team India sources told ANI, "Rohit and other Mumbai Indian players who are part of Team India for the T20 World Cup would be checking into the team hotel today. Hardik Pandya's fitness is also being monitored by the Indian Team physiotherapists and support staff. We sincerely hope that he regains fitness before the tournament begins."

Team management and mentor Dhoni to decide on Pandya's inclusion in the Playing 11:

According to Team India sources, "Whether Hardik Pandya will play only as a batsman or not, this decision would be taken by the team management and mentor MS Dhoni at the right time. The decision will be taken based on what would be the best for the team. India's middle-order lacks the experience to perform well in major and pressure-filled matches, and this decision would be taken keeping this in mind."

As you may recall, Hardik Pandya dwas unable to bowl a single over at the IPL this year. However, Pandya bowled for a short spell during India's limited-overs series against England and Sri Lanka.
