Gundappa Viswanath, the Indian cricket legend, is enjoying his retired life away from limelight. However, he did make a public appearance in his son's wedding reception.. While the news and the video could not independently be verified by ABP Live, it is being clamed that Viswanath's son Daivik reportedly got married in Greece. The wedding may have been a private affair with only close relatives invited but there was a lavish wedding reception in their hometown of Bengaluru.


Meanwhile, Viswanath's brother-in-law another Indian cricket legend Sunil Gavaskar was seen part of the family celebration and in a clip which has now gone viral on social media, the first to the 10,000-run mark in Test match cricket, Gavaskar can be been seen dancing along with the newly-married couple and their families.

Sunil Gavaskar Working As An IPL 2024 Pundit 


On the workfront, Gavaskar is currently working as a commentator for Star Sports, covering IPL 2024. Recentlly, he responded to Virat Kohli's rant in reponse to critics slamming him for strike rate. Gavaskar said that as commentators they say what they see.

"Commentators questioned only when the strike rate was 118. I'm not too sure. I don't watch too many matches, so I don't know what the other commentators have said otherwise. But if you have a strike of 118 and then you get out in the 14th or the 15th with a strike-rate of 118, I mean, if you want applause for that, that's a little bit different. That's different," Gavaskar said on the Television network he is working with in IPL 2024.
