Royal Challengers Bangalore all-rounder Glenn Maxwell talked about the biggest compliment he has received. He said he was once compared to his RCB colleague Virat Kohli. RCB took to its Youtube channel and shared a video, where Maxwell also disclosed his craziest fan interaction in India.

“I got compared to Virat Kohli once, that was a serious compliment. It was completely unnecessary and definitely not even true but I had a couple of good knocks and got compared to Virat was quite nice,” revealed Maxwell.

“Anytime you are going through an airport in India it’s pretty crazy. Yesterday, in the car there were people chasing me and Faf (Faf du Plessis) down the road and banging on the windows, that was interesting.”

The Australian-based batter also talked about his love for Golf and said he even gets up early to play Golf.

“Lots of Golf, Good Good, Rick Shiels and guys that I enjoy watching play Golf are Brian Bros and that’s only part of the days watching those guys,” added Maxwell.

The 34-year-old also spoke about how he lost kilos and what inspired him to get back on the field.

“I actually lost weight. I lost 7 kilos after the surgery and I’m pretty motivated and what I need to do to get back,” he said.

“Get more for hitting it out of the stadium; if you lose the ball over the roof maybe getting a couple extra runs.”

Earlier, before the IPL 2023 started, Maxwell stated that he was excited to take part in the IPL in front of the home crowd, since this season has been witnessing home and away format.

“The leg’s okay. It’s going to be a number of months before I’m 100 percent,” he said.

“Finally getting back after a couple of years (of playing inside bio-bubbles). It’s pretty exciting and I’m pretty pumped to play in front of our home fans".
