SRH Beat RR BY 1 Run. What a match. What a contest. Bhuvi strikes off the last ball. A last-ball thriller.
Has He Made His Ground has Powell? He has. My God what commitment from Powell but he has hurt himself. RR need 2 off 1.
4 Needed Off 2 as Powell comes back for a second.
Powell sweeps Bhuvi for a boundary. 6 off 3 now.
10 Needed Off 4. A couple off the second ball.
12 Needed Off 5 now with a single from Ashwin. RR have been given a slow over rate penalty. RR allowed Only 4 fielders stationed outside the circle.
13 off 6 needed. Ashwin on strike. Bhuvneshwar to bowl last over.
And a much-needed six after three dots in a row from Rovman Powell. RR need 13 to win off 6 balls.
RR- 182/6 after 18. 1 overs, at the fall of Jurel. Cummins bowling the penultimate over. 20 needed off 11 balls.
Natarajan removes Jaiswal. The left-hander tries to go for a lap shot but only manages to disturb his own stumps. SRH-135/3 after 13.3 Overs. Jaiswal falls for 67 off 40.
14 Runs coming off the 13th over, with Jaiswal smashing a SIX and Parag finding the boundary. RR- 132/2 after 13 overs, Bhuvi's third over.
Fifty up for both these batters- Parag and Jaiswal. A 30-ball fifty for Jaiswal, a 31-ball fifty fo Parag. 11 runs off the over. RR- 111/2 after 11 overs.
Spin for the first time this innings. Shahbaz Ahmed has the ball in hand.
Rajasthan going strong after the fall of early wickets. RR-100/2 after 10 overs. They need 102 runs from 60 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal- 48* off 29, Riyan Parag-46* off 29.
RR- 60/2 after 6 overs. Riyan Parag- 25* off 16, Yashasvi Jaiswal- 32* off 18. Bhuvi with the 2 wickets so far.
And now Abhishek drops Parag after he smashed Natrajan for couple of boundaries already.
Natarajan to finish off the powerplay for SRH. That dropped catch proving costly already.
Cummins brings himself on but Two fours and a six coming in that over, all off the blade of Jaiswal who is on fire. RR- 50/2 after 5 overs.
Two No-Ball , Two Boundaries in Jansen's second. Both the boundaries coming off the bat of Jaiswal, who had been dropped earlier in the over. RR- 35/2 after 4 overs.
Regulation chance that is dropped by Pat Cummins first ball of Jansen's second over.
He might have bowled an exceptional first over but Riyan Parag does not left that affect his approach in facing him. Parag smashes Bhuvi for two fours and a SIX in the over. 21/2 after 3 overs.
Concedes 5 runs off his first, does Jansen. Jaiswal finding the first boundary of RR's run-chase. RR- 6/2 after 2 overs.
Marco Jansen from the other end for SRH.
What a start for SRH. Bhuvneshwar Kumar removes Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson in the first over itself. Buttler edges on to the slip cordon before cleaning up Samson with a peach of a delivery. RR- 1/2 after the 1st over.
And a breather. Reddy top-scores with 76 off 42. Heinrich Klaasen with a masterful finish- 42* off 19. Not to forget Travis Head's 58 off 44 at the top of the order as SRH go past the 200-run mark for the fifth time in the season. Sandeep Sharma (1/31 off 4) and Avesh Khan (2/39 off 4) were the wicket-takers for RR. Will be back with the chase. Should be an interesting one this.
That's that then. SRH finish at 201/3 at the end of 20 overs.
Klaasen waits for the short slow bouncer and flat bats it for a SIX Over long on. SRH- 199 with 1 ball to come.
And a boundary. The third ball of the final over. 5 runs off the first 3 balls.
Sandeep to finish it off for RR.
Klaasen with a classy shot through extra over for a boundary and a cheeky one to find the fence off the last ball in the fine-leg region. SRH-186/3 after 19 overs.
Penultimate Over over of the innings and it's Boult who has the ball in hand.
FOUR, SIX Off Successive overs. Reddy playing quit an innings here for Hyderabad. 12 runs off the over. SRH-174/3 after 18 overs.
Avesh Khan to bowl out now. Can SRH reach 200?
Chahal's last over and what a welcome from Klassen. Back-to-back sixes off his first two balls of his final over. Better finish to the over from the leggie but still 16 runs coming off it. SRH: 162/3 after 17 overs. Chahal goes for 62 off his 4 overs.
Ashwin against right-hander Reddy and the batter smashes him with for a couple of sixes off successive deliveries. A couple of dots to finish but still 15 runs off the 16th over. SRH-146/3 after 16 overs. Ashwin finishes with 0 for 35 off his 4 overs.
Reddy gets to a fifty. His second of the season. Good innings this from the right-hander.
Klaasen New Batter for SRH.
Head has run out of luck. He survived a couple of close calls, a dropped catch and a run out decision the ball before playing a shot on to his own stumps. He falls for 57 off 44. RR- 131/3 after 14.4 Overs. Avesh Khan gets the wicket.
Sandeep concedes 10 runs in his third over. A Nitish six coming in the over. SRH- 123/2 after 14 overs.
Two FOURS, TWO SIXES off Chahal's third over. All of the bat of Reddy. 21 runs coming off the 13th over. SRH- 113-2.
It hasn't been Chahal's day so far and he is welcomed with another six at the start of his third over. Reddy the batter who takes him on.
Head completes his fourth half-century of IPL 2024. Not been as fluent as flamboyant as some of the others this season but mighty effective. Gets there with a FOUR followed by a single.
Samson has turned to Boult as RR look to break this partnership.
A slower ball that is picked and sent into the stands by Nitish Reddy. SRH manage to get 9 runs off the over. After 11 overs, SRH- 84/2.
Avesh Khan returns for his second.
It's Ashwin, who returned for a second spell. And this time it's the right-handed Nitish who takes the off-spinner on. Over long-on for a maximum. SRH- 75/2 after 10 overs.
And a boundary on the leg side to finish the over. 18 runs come off the 9th over, Chahal's second. SRH- 66/2.
Chahal concedes back-to-back sixes and it's Head who has upped the gear and how. Much neeed for SRH as they look to break the shackles.
4 Runs Off Sandeep's second. SRH- 48/2 after 8 overs. They are going at 6 runs per over. Surely not the kind of foundation Orange Army were looking after choosing to bat first.
Sandeep will continue.
Chahal's first over goes for 7, including a boundary off the bat of Head. RR- 44/2 after 7 overs.
Yuzvendra Chahal into the attack now for RR.
Brilliant over from Sandeep to finish off a powerplay that has been dominated by RR. 2 runs and a wicket off the sixth. SRH- 37/2 after 6 overs. SRH's lowest powerplay score this season coming against a team which has conceded 200 plus only once in IPL 2024.
New batter for SRH is Nitish Kumar Reddy. He joins Head.
Sandeep Sharma gets a wicket first ball now. It's an attempted flick from Anmolpreet who went the aerial route but found Jaiswal at midwicket. SRH- 35/2 after 5.1 Overs. Anmolpreet walks back for 5 off 5.
Avesh may have produced a wicket first ball but he ends up conceding two boundaries off his first over. One each off the blade of Anmolpreet and Head. SRH- 35/1 after 5 overs.
Anmolpreet Singh comes in at 3 for SRH.
And there's the wicket. Avesh Khan strikes first ball. RR have not let SRH dictate terms and that has forced Abhishek to go for the big shot. All he manages is to find the fielder at the square leg fence. Abhishek falls for 12 off 10. SRH- 25/1 after 4.1 overs.
4 overs bowled, SRH- 25/0. Superb from Ashwin and RR.
And Head survives. AGAIN. This time , it was an LBW shout that the umpire gave not out but RR went for a review, as it turned out, it was not out on umpire's call. So RR do not lose their review but no damage done to SRH either.
Ashwin continues.
Boult continues. He does concede a boundary off a short ball for which Head was up to the challenge but only 3 singles later in the over. 7 runs off it. SRH- 21/0 after 3 overs. Surely a slow start, compared to SRH's standards but this is the best bowling attack in the competition so far.
SRH- 14/0 after 2 overs. 8 come off Ashwin's first.
First six of the evening and it's come off the bat of Abhishek. Ashwin gives the ball a bit more air and Abhishek is ready for it, comes down the track for a straight six.
With two left-handers in the middle, Samson turns to off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin inside the powerplay.
What an over to start the proceedings for RR. Should have had a wicket too but for now, SRH are 6/0 after the 1st over.
Would you believe it? It's the first ball of the match and Boult almost managed to get a wicket off the first ball of his 1st over. Late movement meant Head is not in control of that shot but Riyan Parag at backward point drops it and it bursts through his hand for a boundary.
Out come the SRH openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. Trent Boult has the new ball in hand for RR.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of SRH vs RR, IPL 2024 fixture set to commence in Hyderabad in about 90 minutes from now. The average first innings total in Hyderabad this season is 216. Expect a high-scoring thriller.
Background
SRH vs RR Live Score, IPL 2024: Hello and Welcome to our live coverage of the IPL 2024 match number 50. It's the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) up against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in this fixture scheduled at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. It's a contest that is being looked upon as the battle a team that is strong on batting- SRH with the other arguably one of the best bowling attacks in the competition- RR.
However, it is not without a decent batting that RR find themselves at the top of the IPL 2024 points table. The Men In Pink have won 8 out of the 9 matches that they have played so far and have more or less sealed a place for themselves in the Playoffs. By contrast, SRH have 5 wins from 9 games and with 10 points they find themselves in the middle of the table at the fifth table.
RR have the batting firepower too and even if their openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler can't get the team off to a good start, they have the likes of Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag in good form to make up for it. With the bowl, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan cover up more bases than otherwises. They have the experience of R Ashwin too who hasn't been that effective yet but can't be ruled out either.
As far as SRH are concerned, they have posted record totals batting first but have failed to pull of similar performances with the bat, when batting second. Will they rope in Mayank Markande for this match or will Shahbaz Ahmed get a prefernece? Is there a possibility they might rope in both? These will be some of the questions the SRH management would be hoping to answer before the match.
The form of Bhuvneshwar Kumar hasn't been that great as well but with a good head-to-head record against RR's Buttler and with vast amount of experience behind him, it won't be a surprise if he makes the difference for the Orange Army when their bowling is looking down and out. Expect no difference in the way they approach their batting though.
