For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jonny Bairstow and David Warner started cautiously against the fiery opening spell from Jofra Archer. Both Jofra and spinner Shreyas Gopal kept a tight grip on both batters to give away just five runs in the first two overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad had not managed to get the boundaries going in the first 3 overs.
India U-19 speedster Karthik Tyagi provides the first breakthrough for Rajasthan Royals as Sanju Samson bagged a stunning catch while diving to remove SRH opener, Jonny Bairstow. Thanks to a bowling change, Ben Stokes bowled the ninth over, his first over, this season and conceded 7 runs off it. Warner ended his over with a blistering boundary over extra-cover.

Both Warner and Manish Pandey continued Hyderabad's steady start after star opener Bairstow's early departure. Halfway though the innings,Sunrisers Hyderabad were 63 for loss of one wicket. Warner and Pandey soon brought up their fifty-run partnership for the second wicket.
Jofra Archer cleaned up David Warner for 48, who tried to go for a slog shot but missed the ball completely. Pandey shifted gears and played some aggressive strokes to bring up his fifty. With the last two overs to go, SRH had Kane Williamson and Priyam Garg in the middle.
Kane started the 19th over by Jofra Archer with a six but he fired back with a great comeback. Priyam Garg joined the party to begin the last with a six over deep mid-wicket. After 20 overs, SRH managed to score in their allotted 20 overs.
