Shashank Singh had a memorable evening at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata as he starred in Punjab Kings' win over Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday (April 26). It was a historic run-chase as PBKS pulled off the highest successful chase in the history of not only the Indian Premier League (IPL) but the entire men's T20. Even though KKR batted first and posted 261/6 riding on impressive knocks from Phil Salt (75 off 37), Sunil Narine (71 off 32) and Venkatesh Iyer (39 off 23), PBKS managed to chase down the total in 18.4 overs itself.

Shashank played a lead role in PBKS' run-chase. The right-handed batter who has been in great form in IPL 2024, continued his impressive run and played an innings to remember, remaining unbeaten on 68 off 28 balls as PBKS beat KKR by 8 wickets. Shashank smashed as many as 8 sixes and 2 boundaries as he helped Punjab register an emphatic win over Kolkata.
