Jitesh Sharma falls. Second wicket for Chahal. It's off the inside half of the bat and gets caught at long on. RR- 111/5 after 15.4 Overs.
Bairstow departs. He falls for 14 off 22. The right-hander went for the slog sweep but got more height on that one than distance and ended up finding the fielder. Donovan Ferreira passes it to Parag. Both fielders complete a clinical catch. RR- 48/4 after 8 overs.
Compatriots Bairstow and Curran batting together in the middle.
That marks the end of powerplay. PBKS- 39/3 after 6 overs. Sandeep concedes 2 runs off his 3rd over.
Two Wickets In The Over. Avesh Khan strikes twice in the same over. This game is far from over. Avesh concedes 2 and scalps 2, removing both Rossouw and Shashank Singh in the same over. Rossouw has managed to slice one up in the point region while Shashank is out LBW. RR- 36/3 after 4.5 Overs.
A flurry Of Boundaries for PBKS. One off the bat of Rossouw on the fifth ball of the second over before a boundary a off the bat of Baistow off Boult. Then back-to-back boundaries off the bat of Rossouw. PBKS- 26/1 after 3 overs.
Sandeep Sharma from the other end for RR. Rilee Rossouw joins Bairstow.
Boult removes Prabhsimran. A wicket in the first over again for the left-arm seamer. Prabhsimran goes for the pull but only manages a top edge that is caught by Chahal running in from short third. RR- 6/1 after 0.4 Overs.
Prabhsimran Singh, Jonny Bairstow come out to open for PBSK. Trent Boult the ball in hand for RR.
Rajasthan Royals Finish At 144/8. An innings that went nowhere really but thanks to Parag and Ashwin's efforts, the team has come near 150. Rahul Chahar, Harshal Patel and Sam Curran finished with two wickets apiece for PBKS while Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis scalped a wicket each.
Harshal Removes Parag in the last over and that means RR's top-scorer this innings falls for 48 off 34 at his home ground. RR- 138/8 after 19.2 Overs.
RR- 138/7 after 19 overs.
Back-To-Back Boundaries for Boult. That would surely help RR's cause.
Nathan Ellis bowling the penultimate over of the innings. Riyan Parag and Trent Boult out for RR. Can Rajasthan Royals go past 150?
PBKS' Harshal to bowl the 18th and the 20th over. He manages to get the wicket of Donovan Ferreira in the 18th over. RR- 125/7 after 17.3 Overs.
Rajasthan's misery continues. Powell fails to read the wrong one and hits one straight back to Rahul Chahar who accepts an easy catch and takes his second wicket. RR- 102/6 after 14.3 Overs. Rovman Powell out for 4 off 5.
Rovman Powell new batter for RR in the middle.
Two more down. In quick succession. First Ashwin who had tried to up the ante but fell for 28 off 19 to Arshdeep Singh before Dhruv Jurel who tried to execute a pull but could not middle it and departed for a first-ball duck. RR- 97/5 after 13.3 Overs. Curran getting rid of Jurel.
RR batters out in the middle are Riyan Parag and Ravichandran Ashwin. There has not been any momentum whatsoever in this RR innings so far.
Another One Bites The Dust! Pressure getting the better of RR now. Tom Kohler-Cadmore tries to clear long-on after a tossed up ball from Chahar but can't clear the man. Tom Kohler-Cadmore out for 18 off 23. RR- 42/3 after 7.2 Overs.
Second wicket down. The pressure has resulted in a wicket. PBKS were just not allowing RR to break free and Samson trying to do just that against Nathan Ellis but perishes as he gives a straightforward catch to point on a slower short ball. RR captain out for 18 off 15. RR- 40/2 after 6.4 Overs.
End of powerplay, despite the boundaries hit by Samson and Kohler-Cadmore RR have managed 38/1 at the end of the fielding restrictions. Curran the wicket-taker for PBKS while Harshal Patel and Nathan Ellis have given away 7 runs between them in 2 overs.
Arshdeep Singh Sharing The New Ball with Curran for PBKS.
Samson in at 3 for RR. He joins Tom Kohler-Cadmore who has replaced Jos Buttler in the Playing 11.
RR lose Yashasvi Jaiswal early. Yashasvi Jaiswal looks to drive on the up but there is a bit of inward movement on this ball from Sam Curran and that means all the left-hander manages is an inside edge on to the stumps. Jaiswal out for 4 off 4. RR- 4/1 after 0.4 Overs.

Background
RR vs PBKS Live Score, IPL 2024: Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the IPL 2024 match being played between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. This is match number 65 of the season and an inconsequential one far as the race to the Playoffs is concerned.
IPL 2024 RR vs PBKS Live Score, Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings: This is because while Rajasthan Royals (RR) are already through to the final four, Punjab Kings (PBKS) are no longer in contention for a place in the final four. Having said that RR have lost three matches in a row and would now want to taste a win and head into the knockout stage of the competition with some momentum behind their back.
RR's Jos Buttler has flown to England ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 and before they enter the business end, they would have to find a new opening partner for Yashasvi Jaiswal. Meanwhile, Shimron Hetmyer has also missed RR's last few matches but an official update on his fitness is awaited.
For PBKS, Kagiso Rabada and Liam Livingtone have flown back home but Sam Curran will continue to be available for selection in this game. There is no update on the niggle sustained by Shikhar Dhawan earlier in the season. Jonny Bairstow will also turn up in the Playing 11 after being confirmed that he has flown to Guwahati along with the stand-in captain Curran.
As far as PBKS batting is concerned, none of their batters have scored 400 runs either this season or the last one which explains why they are lagging behind in IPL 2024. This year though Shashank Singh has been a massive positive for the franchise and currently stands at 352 runs.
With 2 matches to go will Shashank go past the 400-run mark or will RR keep him quiet on their way to a win that helps them get back on winning track before the Playoffs? We shall find out over the course of the next two hours and a bit.
