RR vs LSG, IPL 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Lucknow Beat Rajasthan By 10 Runs
RR vs LSG LIVE: Lucknow equalled Rajasthan on the points tally with 8 points but RR still have a better net run rate and continue to be on top of the points table.
Both LSG and RR now have 4 wins from 6 matches but RR still have a better net run rate of +1.043 compared to Lucknow's +0.709 which keeps them at the top of the points table.
LSG win. Avesh Khan (3/25) holds his nerves and despite an early boundary, Lucknow win by 10 runs. They restricted RR to 144 after posting 154 and what seemed to be a middling score turning out to be a match-winning one.
19 to win off the final 6 deliveries. Will we see another last ball finish?
Hetmyer departs. Pressure of the mounting required run rate getting the better of some of these batters now. LSG will feel they can squeeze a win from here. RR- 104/4 in 15.1 overs.
And theres' another. Jos Buttler goes for 40 off 41. Longer part of the boundary and he has failed to get the desired connection on that ball. Is comfortably deep on the leg side and Stoinis gets his second. LSG in with a real chance now. RR- 97/3 in 13.3 overs.
WICKET! It's a run-out. Would you believe it? Crucial of the game this and Samson-Buttler have a bit of a hesitation in the middle which costs skipper Samson his wicket. He departs for 2. RR- 93/2 in 12.4 Overs.
WICKET! Jaiswal has fallen to Stoinis in the 12th over. Interesting run-chase on the cards. Sanju Samson joins Buttler.
Great opening stand this for RR. Jaiswal and Buttler have put on 73 runs in the first 10 overs. Jaiswal is not out on 36 off 29 while Buttler is unbeaten on 30 off 32.
END OF POWERPLAY. RR - 47/0 after 6 overs. They need 108 from 84 balls.
RR- 23/0 after 4 overs. Just 2 came off the 4th over.
Jaiswal and Buttler have helped Buttler off to a brisk start once again. Naveen-ul-Haq and Yudhvir Singh the new-ball attack for LSG so far.
Kyle Mayers top-scored there with 51 off 42. Ravichandran Ashwin 2 for 23 was the pick of the bowlers for RR with Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma and Jason Holder picking a wicket each.
END OF INNINGS. Three wickets in the last over there including two run outs. LSG finish at 154-7. Commentators say it's a middling score, we at ABP seem to agree.
Sandeep Sharma gets to bowl the final over.
146/4 in 19 overs. Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran on strike. Seems like a really difficult pitch but we will get a fair idea once RR batters also bat on the same strip. They would be eyeing 160 at least with 6 balls to go.
LSG seem to be losing the plot here. After a slowish start, their batters have tried to up the run rate but have lost wickets one after the other. First Deepak Hooda departed and it was followed by the wicket of a well-set Mayers. Second in the same over for Ashwin. Mayers goes back for 51. Lucknow- 104/4 in 13.5 overs.
WICKET! Another one goes down. Ayush Badoni perhaps trying to make up for the slow start tried a fancy shot but Boult was just too good and rattled his stumps. LSG- 85/2 in 11.4 overs.
There's the breakthrough. Jason Holder strikes and KL Rahul, after getting 2 lives, has to depart for 39 off 32. LSG- 82/1 in 10.4 overs.
18 runs off the 9th over of the innings which was bowled by Chahal which has finally given this innings a bit of an impetus. Three boundaries including 2 sixes in that over. LSG- 74/0 after 9 overs.
A few boundaries in quick succession for LSG. Lucknow getting a much-needed move on here from their openers and it is Mayers on the charge.
Finally the 50 comes up for LSG in the 8th over. Seems like a difficult surface for stroke making but we will see how the batters fare on this surface.
END OF POWERPLAY. This innings going nowhere really at this pace. They have scored 37 of the first six overs with all 10 wickets remaining. Don't think RR would mind this much. They had a catch dropped but the scoreboard after the fiedling restrictions they won't mind that a lot.
Pretty much a slow start this for LSG. They were 18/0 after 4 overs with Boult starting off things with a maiden over and conceding 2 of his second. Sandeep Sharma has given 16 runs off his 2 overs. Kyle Mayers- 9* (13), KL Rahul 8 (12b). Boult bowling his third on the trot here.
KL Rahul, Kyle Mayers opening for LSG. Trent Boult with the new-ball in hand for RR.

Hello and Welcome to our live coverage of the IPL 2023 contest between the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants. Rajasthan play their first home match at the Sawai Mansigh Stadium in Jaipur this season and it would be interesting to see how the wicket plays out. STAY TUNED to get the latest updates!
Background
RR vs LSG LIVE SCORES: Rajasthan Royals are all set to take on Lucknow Super Giants in a home fixture at the Sawai Mansight Stadium in Jaipur on April 19, 2023 (Wednesday) in what will be a top-of-the-table clash in IPL 2023. While Rajasthan are the only team that finds itself at the top of the points tally with four wins from five matches, Lucknow with three wins but the best net run rate among five teams that are at six points are at the second position in the points table.
Having said that, both sides enter this contest with contrasting results. While Rajasthan registered a win over Gujarat in their last match, Lucknow succumbed a defeat against Punjab Kings which was just their second since IPL 2022 batting first.
Despite being at a somewhat similar position on the points table, the two teams have adopted vastly different approaches when it comes to the way they have gone about their business in this competition. While Rajasthan top-order has looked to take an aggressive route with players going for it right from the first over, Lucknow have been among the slow starters in the powerplay.
However, towards the death Lucknow have a better strike rate than Rajasthan but only marginally. This suggests that how the LSG top-order plays against the likes of Trent Boult and Co. could well be the battle that decides who goes on to have an upper hand in this match.
Kyle Mayers has been in good nick for LSG this season which is why they have been forced to bench Quinton de Kock and that could likely be the trend going forward. On the other hand, Jos Buttler is struggling with a finger injury but will be in all likelihood good enough to play a role with the bat.
What makes this encounter all the more interesting is that Super Giants are yet to beat Royals in the IPL with Royals having won both of their clashes last season.
