Ever since the advent of social media the distance between fans and celebrities has reduced. Now anyone on social media can easily access what their favourite celeb is up to. While this has its own pros, it comes with its share of cons. While fans can now post anything on these platforms, individuals can or cannot choose to reply to such comments. However, former Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketer Robin Uthappa did choose to respond to a particular accusation from a fan.

While Uthappa had shared a picture in which could be seen wearing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) colours, a franchise he represented during the latter stages of his IPL career, and cheering for the Men in Yellow in Qualifier 1, a fan was quick to point out that Uthappa had never shown so much love for KKR where he spent six years and even helped them lift a trophy.

In response, the 37--year-old said that loyalty and respect is a give and take thing which is being understood as a dig at KKR. It seems like Uthappa wasn't pleased with the he was treated by the Kolkata franchise. It is worth highlighting that the team had preferred Dinesh Karthik as the captain ahead of Uthappa who had been with them for a long time in the past before releasing him in 2019. However, Uthappa later clarified that it had nothing to do with his performances but his first four years at KKR where Gautam Gambhir was captain was very different from the last two seasons which impacted his performances

"Bro played one-two seasons with Chennai and sold his soul I have never seen him supporting KKR like this," a fan alleged to which the ex-India batter replied: "Loyalty and respect is a give and take my friend."
