India star Rinku Singh has already made a name for himself as someone who could take the best of the bowling attacks to the cleaners. While it is still early days in his international career, he rose to fame in the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) where he had a breakthrough season with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). This year too he has already joined hands with his franchise ahead of what promises to be an exciting edition of the tournament.
However, it was a smooth start for KKR to their camp. One of Rinku's sixes during the training session apparently hit a budding cricketer. The young cricketer was hit on the forehead but fortunately did not incur any serious injuries. Rinku was quick to check on him and offered a signed KKR hat as an apology. The video of the gesture was shared by KKR on their social media handle on Tuesday (March 12).

Shreyas Iyer Back At Helm Of Affairs For KKR In IPL 2024
Meanwhile, Shreyas Iyer will be back at the helm of affairs for KKR in IPL 2024. The right-handed batter was ruled out of the tournament last season with an injury but will be back this year. In his absence, it was Nitish Rana who led the side in IPL 2023. KKR finished seventh on the points table last year with 6 wins and 8 defeats in 14 matches, missing out on a Playoffs berth.
The two-time champions would be hoping to have a better season this time around with Shreyas back in the team in addition to the fresh reinforcements added in the IPL 2024 mini-auction held in December last year. KKR will begin their IPL 2024 campaign against SRH at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata on March 23 (Saturday).
