In the IPL 2023 game between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians on Saturday, fans witnessed a hilarious incident in the 13th over of the game which was bowled by spinner Maheesh Theekshana. He started the over with a dot ball and followed it up with another dot delivery where MI’s batter Nehal Wadhera tried to hit the ball towards him.
Once he bowled that delivery, fans looked at the screen and it showed that the speed of the ball was 152 kph. It was a huge mistake by the broadcaster as it’s next to impossible for the spinner to bowl at such a lethal pace.
Social media went berserk after this incident took place as they came up with a lot of funny comments.
Talking about the clash, MS Dhoni’s men outplayed the Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma on Saturday. Chennai Super Kings'batters chased down a target of 139 runs and ended up winning the game by six wickets. Kudos to left hander Devon Conway, who made 44 runs and helped his team seal a victory here at the MA Chidambaram stadium, in Chennai. Ruturaj Gaikwad also collected 30 runs off 16 deliveries while Shivam Dube played a useful hand of 26 runs off 18 balls.
For Mumbai Indians, Piyush Chawla picked up two wickets after conceding just 25 runs in his four overs of quota alongside Tristan Stubbs and Akash Madhwa who scalped a wicket each.
