Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul sustained an injury on his during an IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. He had to leave the field with the help of physio since he was in sheer pain. The injury took place off the last ball of the second over when Faf du Plessis smashed a ball off Marcus Stoinis's delivery towards the extra cover region and Rahul chased the ball racing to the boundary and that is when he sustained an injury.
However, there is no confirmation as to whether Rahul will come out to bat or not while chasing the total. Since Rahul is not on the field, Krunal Pandya is leading the Lucknow team against RCB. Currently, LSG are placed second in the table with five wins and three defeats.
The Indian team will be hoping Rahul's injury is not serious, as they are already struggling without Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah going into the WTC final. Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and opted to bat first in Lucknow. Lucknow bowlers have been bowling well in this match as they have already sent four RCB batters to the pavilion.
