Team India's former skipper Virat Kohli, the only cricketer in history of Indian Premier League (IPL) to play only for one franchise in all seasons till date, represents Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the cash-rich T20 tournament.
During his time with the Bangalore-based franchise, Virat developed a great bond of friendship with South African batting legend AB de Villiers. The duo not only played a lot of cricket together but also made many records while batting together in IPL. Sadly, RCB is yet to win an IPL final trophy. While De Villiers has retired, Virat still has a chance to win the most-coveted trophy in franchise cricket.
Both Virat Kohli and AB de Villers are considered among the greatest T20 batters of all time. Recently, De Villiers was asked to pick 'greatest T20 cricketer of all time' and the RCB batting legend stunned everyone with his reply. He didn't pick his 'dear friend' Virat, instead, De Villiers named Afghanistan's 24-year-old Rashid Khan as 'greatest T20 cricketer of all time'.
"My greatest T20 player of all time is none other than Rashid Khan. He delivers with bat and ball. Match winner in both departments; he is a livewire in the field and has got the heart of a lion. He always wants to win; he’s very competitive, and he’s right there with one of the best T20 players. Not one of the best, the best", he said on SuperSport.
Afghanistan's 24-year-old Rashid Khan, with 126 wickets in 77 T20Is, is third-highest wicket-taker of all time in T20Is.
Former India skipper Virat Kohli (4008 runs in 115 T20 Internationals) is the highest run-scorer in T20Is. The star batter has scored a ton and 37 fifties so far in his T20I career.
