PBKS vs DC, IPL 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Delhi Hold On To 15-Run Win Despite Livingstone's 94

IPL 2023, Match 64, PBKS vs DC: DC were already eliminated from the race to the Playoffs but now PBKS will not only have to win their last league game but hope for other results to go in their favour.

Background

Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 64 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala on Wednesday. There is all to play for as far as the Shikhar Dhawan-led side is concerned as they are still in the race to the Playoffs. However, the same isn't true for DC who were the first team to get eliminated and can no longer make it to the final four. Having said that, David Warner & Co. would want to end the season on a high with a couple of wins before evaluating this season and strategising the road ahead for the franchise whose wait for their maiden IPL title is sure to get extended by another year.On the other hand, pressure will be on PBKS, not only because this will be a must-win game of sorts for them but also since even though this is their home game, this is a home away from home for the franchise who play their first match in Dharamshala after shifting base from Mohali. Dharamshala will become the 12th venue to host an IPL game this season but the focus will not only be on the picturesque venue but also on what will be on offer here on the piece of strip that will be the centre of the battle between the bat and ball.PBKS are currently placed on 12 points and feel also feel the tension as things get tensed because they haven't mde it to the business end of the competition after their runners-up finish in 2014. DC though have all the ingredients of being the perfect party spoiler, with nothing to lose, they are expected to play a refreshing brand of cricket and maybe try out a few other players or bring someone like Prithvi Shaw back in the mix.All things hint at the possibility of a great game of cricket this evening.PBKS vs DC Probable 11s:PBKS (Including Impact Substitute): Prabhsimran Singh, Shikhar Dhawan (captain), Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma (wicketkeeper), Sam Curran, Sikandar Raza, Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Rishi Dhawan, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso RabadaDC (Including Impact Substitute): David Warner (captain), Philip Salt (wicketkeeper), Mitchell Marsh, Rovman Powell/Anrich Nortje, Aman Hakim Khan, Axar Patel, Praveen Dubey, Kuldeep Yadav, Ishant Sharma, Khaleel Ahmed, Mukesh Kumar, Manish Pandey

PBKS vs DC LIVE SCORE

Victory for DC. Could have been a bit more comfortable given the situation of the game but Livingstone was in sublime form and scored 94 off 48 but eventually PBKS fell 15-runs short. A consolatory win really for the Capitals but with that they have spoiled Punjab's playoff qualification scenarios as the Shikhar Dhawan-led side can now reach a maximum of 14 points and will have to depend on the result other matches to proceed to the final four.
