PBKS vs DC, IPL 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Delhi Hold On To 15-Run Win Despite Livingstone's 94
IPL 2023, Match 64, PBKS vs DC: DC were already eliminated from the race to the Playoffs but now PBKS will not only have to win their last league game but hope for other results to go in their favour.
Victory for DC. Could have been a bit more comfortable given the situation of the game but Livingstone was in sublime form and scored 94 off 48 but eventually PBKS fell 15-runs short. A consolatory win really for the Capitals but with that they have spoiled Punjab's playoff qualification scenarios as the Shikhar Dhawan-led side can now reach a maximum of 14 points and will have to depend on the result other matches to proceed to the final four.
This is surely DC's game to lose from here. 147/5 now with Shahrukh Khan, Atharva and Jitesh Sharma all back in the pavilion. Livingtone still out in the middle but DC Need 67 runs off 21 balls.
PBKS Need 97 from 36 balls. LiamLivingstone (37* off 23) and Atharva Taide (54* off 41) out in the middle for the chasing team at the moment. Asking rate over 16. Tough ask for PBKS.
PBKS- 50/2 in 6.4 Overs. Prabhsimran Singh departs, falls for 22 off 19.
Superb start by DC in the second innings as well. Khaleel Ahmed first starts off things with a maiden over to Prabhsimran Singh before Ishant Sharma got rid of Dhawan for a golden duck. PBKS- 0/1 in 1.1 overs.
23 off the final over after Harpreet Brar was trusted by Dhawan. DC- 213/2. Rilee Rossouw the star with the bat for the Capitals, finishes with an unbeaten 82 off 37.
18 runs came off the 19th over. Ellis the bowler. Two sixes and a boundary in this over from the bat of Salt. DC- 190/2. 1 over to go.
Good batting performance this for DC but then this is traditionally a high-scoring venue with shorter boundaries. Shaw departed for a 54 off 38 but there has been no slowing down with Rilee Rossouw taking charge straight away. He has raised his fifty as well. DC- 172/2 after 18 overs.
WICKET! Finally a breakthrough for PBKS but not before Warner and Shaw have added 94 runs for the first wicket. Warner falls for 46 off 31, failing to time a slower one from Curran. DC- 94/1 in 10.2 overs.
After a relatively slow start, DC batters have changed gears and how. After 18 in the first three overs, DC have ended powerplay at 61/0. Prithvi Shaw- 26* off 18, David Warner- 34* off 18.
A couple of boundaries from the bat of Shaw to end the third over which was delivered by Curran. PBKS- 18/0 after 3 overs.
Sam Curran and Kagiso Rabada sharing the new ball for PBKS.
Prithvi Shaw and David Warner come out to open for Delhi against PBKS.

Hello and Welcome to our live coverage of the IPL 2023 PBKS vs DC fixture. This is match 64 of what has been an incredible tournament already and the first at the HPCA Stadium this season.
Background
Punjab Kings (PBKS) will take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 64 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala on Wednesday. There is all to play for as far as the Shikhar Dhawan-led side is concerned as they are still in the race to the Playoffs. However, the same isn't true for DC who were the first team to get eliminated and can no longer make it to the final four. Having said that, David Warner & Co. would want to end the season on a high with a couple of wins before evaluating this season and strategising the road ahead for the franchise whose wait for their maiden IPL title is sure to get extended by another year.
On the other hand, pressure will be on PBKS, not only because this will be a must-win game of sorts for them but also since even though this is their home game, this is a home away from home for the franchise who play their first match in Dharamshala after shifting base from Mohali. Dharamshala will become the 12th venue to host an IPL game this season but the focus will not only be on the picturesque venue but also on what will be on offer here on the piece of strip that will be the centre of the battle between the bat and ball.
PBKS are currently placed on 12 points and feel also feel the tension as things get tensed because they haven't mde it to the business end of the competition after their runners-up finish in 2014. DC though have all the ingredients of being the perfect party spoiler, with nothing to lose, they are expected to play a refreshing brand of cricket and maybe try out a few other players or bring someone like Prithvi Shaw back in the mix.
All things hint at the possibility of a great game of cricket this evening.
