PBKS vs CSK Live Score, IPL 2024: Punjab Kings (PBKS) will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first of the twin clashes this Sunday (May 5). Even though CSK are the most successful side in the history of the tournament with five titles to their credit, despite being barred from featuring in the competition for two season, PBKS remain only one of the two teams to have beaten them in five matches in a row. The only other team to achieve this feat is Mumbai Indians (MI) who also have five championships wins.PBKS though have not won a title yet. However, this game could be a massive boost for them if they want to stay alive in the race to the IPL 2024 Playoffs and remain in contention of winning the title. Can PBKS win their sixth match on the trot against the Men in Yellow? PBKS will continue to be without the services of Shikhar Dhawan. In Dhawan's absence, stand-in captain Sam Curran will be looking to repeat the result of their last 2 outings where they beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and CSK- both of whom were placed above CSK in the points tally. For Punjab, the strategy of Prabhsimran Singh and Arshdeep Singh being used as Impact Players depening upon whether they are batting first or bowling first has yielded results and they are likely to stick with the same. On the other hand, CSK are outside of top four, a place where they are not familar with, so remarkable is their consistency. But with a new captain Ruturaj Gaikwad at the helm can they comeback into the top four?Tushar Deshpande can be back into the scheme of things for CSK after the pacer missed the last match because of a flu but with Deepak Chahar sustaining an injury and Mustafizur Rahman flying back, there will be a bit of reshuffling to do as far as the bowling attack is concerned. Mukesh Choudhary and Ajinkya Rahane could be the team's Impact Sub options. All in all, this looks set to be a cracker of a game with the picturesque Dharamshala stadium as its backdrop.
