Lucknow Super Giants opener KL Rahul hasn't been in the best of forms in IPL 2023. While he has struggled to get off the blocks quickly, his firm stance of strike rate being over-rated has also led to his crictism by several fans on social media.
During the IPL 2023 match between the Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans on Saturday, Rahul played his second successive maiden over to start off the Lucknow innings. He had earlier also started off with a maiden over against Rajasthan Royals when Trent Boult was the bowler. This time around it was Mohammed Shami who was hitting the right lengths but Rahul could not even rotate strike which is what has angered the netizenz.
While some have seen the funny side of it, others have advised that Rahul simply shouldn't take strike to begin the innings. Notably, LSG are chasing 136 to win.
