Mumbai Indians (MI), the five-time IPL champions, are off to a disastrous start in the ongoing edition of the T20 tournament. With a new captain in Hardik Pandya at the helm of affairs, MI have not been able to win a single match whatsoever, losing three matches in a row. With their next few matches set to be at their home venue- the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and a bit of a break before their next game on April 7, the MI players have gone for a mini-vacation at Jamnagar.
While it is being reported that the Jamnagar trip was planned, it couldn't have come at a better time for MI who perhaps wanted precisely that to get some time for reflection and regrouping as they look to make a comeback after finding themselves at the bottom of the points table post their first three games. A video shared by a fan on social media shows the MI players including former captain Rohit Sharma getting out of the Jamnagar airport.

It is pertinent to note that Jamnagar happens to be the same place in Gujarat where the where the Ambanis, the owners of the MI franchise, hosted Anant Ambani's pre-wedding bash with a lot of cricketers spotted in attendance.

As things stand, RR are at the top of the IPL 2024 points table with three wins from three matches and 6 points at a net run rate (NRR) of +1.249. KKR, CSK and LSG complete the top four. Notably, the teams that finish inside top four forge ahead into the Playoffs.
