Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2024 Auction: The Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction for 2024 is underway today, on December 19 (Tuesday) at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, which featured 333 players competing for 77 slots across ten franchises. Thirty of these slots were reserved for overseas players. The pool comprised 214 Indian players, 119 overseas players, including 116 capped players, 215 uncapped players, and two from Associate nations.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) entered the IPL Players Auction 2024 with six slots (including two overseas players) and a remaining purse of Rs 13.15 crore. Under the leadership of KL Rahul, the team secured India pacer Shivam Mavi for Rs 6.40 crore. Additionally, they acquired all-rounders Ashton Turner and David Willey for Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively. In a bid complementing their recent performances in the U-19 Asia Cup, LSG brought uncapped Indian batter Arshin Kulkarni at his base price of Rs 20 lakh.
