Lucknow Super Giants are the new entrant in this year's IPL. On paper, they seem to have all bases covered, including six international all-rounders. The likes of KL Rahul and Quinton De Kock in the batting department along with Mark Wood, Avesh Khan to spearhead their bowling attack and a proven all-rounder like Jason Holder; LSG has bought smart.

Like their coach Andy Flower said, they wanted "attacking options, that's the sort of cricket we want to play. According to experts, Lucknow is said to have one of the more balanced sides in the competition and with a think tank including Gautam Gambhir, the two-time IPL winning captain, they seem to have covered all of their bases.


The spin attack could have done with a more experienced name and the lack of an Indian middle-order batter especially a more established name is lacking in the squad with Manish Pandey not being in the best of the form.
