The Women's Premier League is a trailblazer tournament in more ways than one. The T20 competition is the first women's franchise based league in India modelled on the successful Indian Premier League (IPL). The league has brought top international cricketers in the world to rub shoulders against one another which will serve as an inspiration to domestic Indian talents but will also facilitate learnings by sharing the dressing room with the best in the world.

Royal Challengers Bangalore is definitely one dugout which is not at all short of star power. Led by Smriti Mandhana, the team features some other top players like Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, Heather Knight, Richa Ghosh, and Meghan Schutt among other star cricketers.

However, when Perry, who has represented Australia in both the FIFA and the Cricket World Cup, was asked if she would ever be star struck  by someone she said that if she comes across Tennis legend Roger Federer, she would find it hard to stay composed.

In another interesting question asked to Perry, she was told to pick one between MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli as her opening partner and her response was pure gold. The 32-year-old said that she would rather want to watch the two of them bat together than partner any of them.

The video of the this interaction was shared on Bangalore's official website.

As far as the cricketing action is concerned, it hasn't been the best of starts for the Bangalore franchise as they how lost two matches in a row. They are now up against Gujarat Giants on Wednesday who are also searching for their maiden win in WPL 2023.

Mumbai Indians with 2 out of 2 wins and a net run rate of +5.185 currently lead the points table while Delhi Capitals also won both their matches, their net run rate is +2.550 which has placed them at the second position.
