KKR vs RR, IPL 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: Jaiswal's 98 Off 47 Powers Rajasthan To Win
KKR vs RR Highlights: Rajasthan have jumped to the third place with that thumping win.
What a win by RR. They beat KKR by 9 wickets and 41 balls remaining. Jaiswal the star all the way with his 98 off 47 but Chahal with figures of 4/25 and Samson (48* off 29) also played pivotal roles in that victory.
WHAT A KNOCK THIS HAS BEEN FOR JAISWAL! Record-breaking stuff. He has hit the fastest IPL fifty ever, reaching there in just 13 balls. He is continuing in the same manner as RR are 88/1 in 7 overs chasing 150. Sanju Samson at the other end.
WICKET! Andre Russell with a direct hit that catches Buttler short. The English star goes without scoring. RR- 30/1 in 1.4 Overs.
What a start this for RR. KKR experiemented with Nitish Rana bowling the first over but Yashasvi Jaiswal has accumulated 26 runs of the first over. 6, 6, 4, 4, 2, 4- that's how the over stats read for the KKR captain. RR- 26/0 after 1 over. Jos Buttler a mere spectator at the non-striking end.
END OF INNINGS! WICKET to end the innings. What a performance this by RR who have kept KKR down to 149/8.
Chahal finishes his spell with figures of 4 for 25. He is also the Purple Cap holder now. KKR-142/7 in 19 overs.
Russell departs after a run-a-ball 10. He falls to Asif. KKR- 107/4 in 13.3 overs.
Venkatesh Iyer and Andre Russell out in the middle for KKR at the moment. Into the 12th over.
WICKET! Rana departs, falls to Chahal in the 11th over. The leg-spinner is now the highest wicket-taker in IPL. KKR- 77/3 in 10.2 Overs.
Another wicket falls and this time it's the other KKR opener Gurbaz. Boult gets the wicket, courtesy of another brilliant catch this time at the 30-yard circle by Sandeep Sharma. The Afghanistan star can't believe it as he thinks he got enough to clear the man but that was't to be. KKR- 29/2 in 4.1 Overs.
WICKET!! What a catch that from Shimron Hetmyer on the boundary ropes. Roy departs and Trent Boult who gets the wicket but that was the fielder's wicket really. KKR- 14/1 in 2.2 Overs.
Jason Roy, Rahmanullah Gurbaz the opening batters for Kolkata. Trent Boult with the new ball for RR.

Toss News: RR have won the toss and chosen to bowl first.
Hello and Welcome to our live coverage of match number 56 of IPL 2023. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to lock horns at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Toss and Team News in a bit over 15 mins from now. STAY TUNED!
Background
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will face each other in match 56 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata. Both sides are pretty much alive in the race to the playoffs but while the inaugural champions have been on a slippery slope and have lost their recent games, the two-time IPL winners will head into this fixture on the back of two back-to-back wins.
However, RR are still ahead of KKR on the points table by virtue of a better net run rate (NRR). Even though both teams have 10 points after 11 matches, RR's NRR of +0.388 is much better than that of KKR which stands at -0.079.
One of the major reasons behind RR's good start followed by a drastic change in fortune which has seen them losing the last five of their six matches has been Shimron Hetmyer's diminishing returns with the bat. Other than that, their lead pacer Trent Boult also has had to sit out with a niggle and it is not yet known whether in the matches he has played, he has been feeling a 100 per cent.
Moreover, they have also made some questionable tactical moves like trusting Ravichandran Ashwin with the bat ahead of someone like Jason Holder in the game's shortest format and not being wise about the utilisation of the Impact Player substitute. However, with just three more matches to go, RR would be be determined to find their missing mojo before it becomes a season of what ifs for them.
KKR are on the other side of the spectrum who had a poor start but are now peaking and who knows maybe just at the right time and a win here would put them in front of many other teams despite not being looked as contender in the initial stage of the T20 league. The form of Varun Chakravarthy, Andre Russell and Rinku Singh has been a major positive for them but they would want more from their talisman Sunil Narine.
Probable Playing XIs:
