IPL 2024: One-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners Rajasthan Royals (RR) have enlisted Mumbai's Ranji Trophy hero and star all-rounder Tanush Kotian to fill in for Adam Zampa. The Australian pulled out of IPL 2024 season citing personal reasons. Kotian was one of the star performers for Mumbai during the recently-concluded Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season.

Mumbai clinched the Ranji Trophy title for 42nd time. The star all-rounder scripted history by notching up a century batting at number 10 in the tournament. Rajasthan secured Kotian's services for a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

In the recently-concluded Ranji Trophy season, Tanush Kotian bagged 29 wickets from 10 matches and scored 502 runs in the same number of matches, further solidifying his all-round capabilities.

Acquired for Rs 1.5 crore in last year's Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Adam Zampa's decision to opt out of IPL 2024 dealt a significant blow to RR as Sanju Samson-led side had boasted a formidable spin attack with Zampa alongside R Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal.

"Gujarat Titans (GT) added B R Sharath to their squad as replacement for the injured Robin Minz while Tanush Kotian joined Rajasthan Royals (RR) in place of Adam Zampa for the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024."

"B R Sharath – a wicketkeeper-batter – represents Karnataka in Domestic Cricket. He has so far played 28 T20s, in addition to 20 First-Class matches and 43 List A games, and has 328 T20 runs against his name. He will join GT for his base price of INR 20 Lac."
