Meanwhile, the defending champions Chennai Super Kings, despite a mixed season, are on the brink of securing their spot in IPL 2024 playoffs.

IPL 2024 Playoffs qualification scenarios for RCB and CSK


After playing 13 matches, Virat Kohli-starrer Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) secure 12 points with a Net Run Rate (NRR) of +0.387, whereas MS Dhoni-starrer Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has played the same number of matches, amassing 14 points with a superior NRR of +0.587.


RCB requires them to defeat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by at least 18 runs or more or restrict Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side within 18.1 overs to qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs. For CSK to make it to the IPL 2024 playoffs, they need to defeat RCB to reach the crucial 16-point mark. Even if the Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side faces a defeat, they must stop RCB from achieving the aforementioned scenarios.

What will happen if RCB vs CSK IPL 2024 match gets washed out due to rain?


As per IMD, there's over 70 % chance of rain in Bengaluru during CSK vs RCB IPL 2024 match, scheduled to kickstart from 7:30 PM IST onwards. If the crucial RCB vs CSK IPL match gets washed out due to rain, both CSK and RCB will get a point each and Chennai Super Kings will automatically qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs with 15 points. RCB will then end their IPL 2024 campaign with 13 points.
