The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced in a media release on April 2 (Tuesday) that the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) match at Eden Gardens, originally set for April 17, has been rescheduled to a day earlier. Consequently, the clash between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, initially slated for April 16, will now take place on April 17.

Although the BCCI has not provided an official reason for the minor schedule change, as per a CricketNext report, the authorities in Kolkata expressed uncertainty regarding security arrangements for the KKR vs RR IPL 2024 match at Eden Gardens due to its overlap with Rama Navami festivities.
