Mumbai Indians' Sluggish Start In IPL 2024 Under New Captain Hardik Pandya

Mumbai Indians have a history of making slow and sluggish starts to their Indian Premier League season and then picking up the pace in the final stages to go all the way. The five-time IPL winners, however, are being thrown under the bus by their fans this season, as legendary captain and MI faithful's beloved Rohit Sharma was removed from captaincy before the start of the season. The reigns were handed over to the new signing and former Mumbai Indians all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, in a cash-only deal worth 15 crore.

It is the first instance ever in the history of the league that current Indian national team's captain is not captaining any franchise in the IPL. Also, the fans of both Gujarat Titans and Mumbai Indians have left no sort of shortcoming in expressing their hatred towards Hardik Pandya and disappointment towards Mumbai Indians' management and especially, Mark Boucher.

Mumbai Indians have made a disappointing start to their IPL 2024, as the side bottled an easy win against Gujarat Titans, and then lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad, in a record breaking match, which ended in MI receiving backlash from fans.
