Cricket icon Virat Kohli and his superstar wife Anushka Sharma were recently spotted playing badminton in a promotional event, video and pictures of which has gone viral on social media. Anushka is often seen in the stands supporting her husband, Virat Kohli, who is currently playing for franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in 2023 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2023). After the 2021 edition IPL, Virat Kohli stepped down as captain of RCB. However, with regular skipper Faf du Plessis being injured, Kohli was asked to lead the Bangalore-based franchise in their last two matches.

Virat Kohli's form in IPL 2023 thus far has been remarkable. The RCB legend has scored 279 runs in 7 IPL matches and is currently fourth in the list of highest run-scorers this year. Current Orange Cap holder Faf du Plessis (405 runs in 7 IPL matches) is at number one in this list. In IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore have won 4 out of 7 matches, while lost 3.


Virat recently opened up on how Anushka Sharma helped him during his rough patch.


"When you go back from a space like this. It's easy immediately to go like 'ah, everything is so good and it's okay'. That's why I say Anushka's name first because she has seen the challenges of being in this position. She knows it. She has been there for so many years. She knows what it takes to handle public pressure. So, her conversations with me has always been priceless.
