Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Delhi Capitals Highlights: An all-round performance from Sunrisers Hyderabad powered them to a nine-run win over Delhi Capitals in match number 40 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday (April 29). Chasing 198 for the win, Hyderabad were off to a great start as they cleaned up in-form Warner for a duck. However, Delhi Capitals bounced back with a 112-run partnership between Mitch Marsh and Phil Salt. Both star batters notched up their respective fifties as Delhi cruised in the chase. But they both fell soon after their fifties and a few overs spinners turned around the game completely. As wickets kept tumbling, Delhi kept holding Axar back and they paid the price for it. Had Axar (unbeaten 14-ball 29) been sent to bat much earlier, the result might have been different.

Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bat first against Delhi Capitals. Abhishek Sharma started the proceedings for Sunrisers Hyderabad with a bang as the supremely talented youngster hit back-to-back fours off Ishant Sharma's 1st over. With wickets falling at regular intervals, Abhishek Sharma remained solid for his team at the other end, slamming a brilliant 36-ball 67 to set the stage for Heinrich Klaasen, who provided a great finish with 53 not out as Hyderabad posted an impressive 197 for 6 on a sluggish track.

While every other Sunrisers Hyderabad batter struggled to bat on Delhi's on the two-paced wicket, Southpaw Abhishek Sharma looked in fine touch and went on to slam 12 fours and a six.

A fantastic finish from South African Heinrich Klaasen, 27-ball-fifty, helped Hyderabad get 62 runs in final five overs, finishing big against Delhi Capitals on their home ground. SRH posted the highest score at the Kotla this season.

Klaasen added 53 of 33 balls with Abdul Samad (28 off 21 balls) and 35 off 18 balls with Akeal Hosein (16 off 10 balls).

For DC, Mitchell Marsh was the best bowler on display, returning with figures of 4-1-27-4, while Axar Patel (1/29) picked up a solitary wicket. Ishant Sharma also got one in his three overs.
