Legendary Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri was spotted attending Royal Challengers Bangalore’s practice session at the  M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday. He even joined RCB players in their fielding and catching drills. RCB took to their Twitter handle and shared a video where Chhetri stunned everyone as he dived to his right and grabbed a brilliant catch.

“Cross culture of sports! Indian football captain and legend Sunil Chhetri dropped by at the Chinnaswamy to watch RCB practice, and spent time with Virat Kohli and the boys,” RCB captioned the post.

Chhetri shares a great camaraderie with former India captain Virat Kohli. Talking about their bond, Sunil said that Virat is very funny.

“The conversation is always about sports, jokes, having fun and different stuff. I don’t know if people know this but Virat is hilarious.”

“That side of his is probably not known to a lot of people and I don’t know whether he’s gonna like me for saying this but he’s hilarious, man!” he added.

The 38-year-old footballer got the RCB jersey and speaking about the same he said, “This is what I got today. Generally, I always eat RCB’s head for the jersey. I was in Bangalore, so I came to take my jersey. Loving it!”

“Because I’m a BFC, I’m a Bangalore boy. Right from when I signed for BFC I’ve been supporting Bangalore.”

“I’ve got an added motivation with Virat. It’s my city, it’s our team. I’ve been supporting RCB for the longest time,” he stated.

Chhetri is the third most prolific international scorer as he has 84 goals from 132 matches and is standing only behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Sunil was also awarded the AIFF Men's Footballer of the Year for 2021-22 and he has clinched that title for the seventh time in his career.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will kickstart their IPL 2023 campaign by playing against Mumbai Indians on Sunday at their home ground,  M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore.
