Indian batting legend Virat Kohli made a brilliant start to his Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The star RCB batter scored 82 not out off 49 balls in RCB's tournament opener against Mumbai Indians (MI). However, in RCB's second match which they lost against Kolkata Knight Riders, Kohli was dismissed after scoring mere 21 runs off 18 balls. The Bangalore-based franchise are yet to win an IPL trophy and Virat Kohli's form is the key for RCB to have a successful IPL campaign.

Virat joined RCB in 2008 and since then has shared the dressing room with many legends including South African batting great AB de Villiers. Kohli and De Villiers share a great bond both on and off the field and the two are best friends. Recently, during an interaction on Jio Cinema, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Hall of Famer AB de Villiers revealed the most annoying habit of Virat, which also makes him jealous of him.


Speaking about Virat’s most annoying habit, 39-year-old AB de Villiers said, "Virat’s most annoying habit is as nice as it is that he is very fit, but it’s also annoying because you’re jealous of him. Like he’s in the gym every day, and I’ll go, like Oh I’m not feeling like the gym today, and then I take a day off and I feel bad about it. But you know he makes us feel bad sometimes. He’s too fit."


For the unversed, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers still hold the record of scoring the biggest partnership in history of Indian Premier League (IPL). In the year 2016, Virat and De Villiers notched up an excellent partnership of 229 runs against Gujarat Lions. This is the best partnership score till date in the history of IPL.

Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers also hold the record of second biggest partnership in IPL. The duo shared an unbeaten partnership of 215 runs against Mumbai Indians in the year 2015 for the second wicket while playing for RCB. De Villiers scored 133 runs in 59 balls in this match.
