Gujarat Titans outplayed Mumbai Indians by 55 runs in the Indian Premier League 2023 on Tuesday where Shubman Gill starred with the bat after scoring 56 runs. Apart from Gill, fans witnessed some unreal hitting of Miller who scored 46 and Abhinav Manohar making 43 runs.

As a result, Gujarat reached to a huge total of 207-6 against Mumbai. Gujarat bowlers Noor Ahmad and Rashid Khan were the stars with the ball as they picked three and two wickets respectively. For Mumbai, it was young batter Nehal Wadhera who made 40 off 21 balls and helped Mumbai post a decent score of 152-9.

Post winning the game, star pacers Mohammad Shami and Rashid Khan talked about their plans and strategies. “The Feeling was good as we got the right start, and our boys took the responsibility and scored a good total in the first innings. This victory was significant as we lost the last two matches,” said Khan.

“And the way you (Shami) started in the bowling as when you have 208 runs to defend and opposition have just scored 24-25 runs in 6 overs. The credit goes to you (Shami) the way you and Hardik started, we got momentum in the middle”.

”With the fall of wickets in PowerPlay, the required run-rate increased to almost 13-14 and let the batters make the mistake.”

Shami also opened up about his plan and stated, “When you are starting for your team, its critical to know the right area, maintain your rhythm, and control your line and length. The plan was the same as team is discussing to give least runs in Power play.”

“First is to focus on your fitness; sometimes the vision and what you think adds more pressure than the format; what I advice is rather than thinking so many things, if you just work on your line and length, that would be helpful”, he added.
