IPL 2023 Updated Points Table: The next two weeks in the ongoing 2023 season of Indian Premier League (IPL) will be crucial for all 10 teams. At present, there's an intense battle among teams with the tournament witnessing thrilling finishes day by day and it is almost impossible to predict or pick a particular team as favourite. Defending champions Gujarat Titans (GT), after a clinical win over Lucknow Super Giants in their recent fixture, secured top spot in IPL 2023 Points Table. In between, Rajasthan Royals had occupied top position before getting pushed down by Chennai Super Kings. Initially when the tournament started, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were hot favorites but they now struggle to regain momentum after consecutive defeats. Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians are continuing their journey. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals pulled off some surprising wins to keep themselves alive in race to IPL 2023 Playoffs.

Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Punjab Kings in last-ball thriller to jump to fifth spot in IPL 2023 Points Table with 10 Points. Punjab Kings could have moved to 3rd spot if they won against KKR. Gujarat Titans are at number 1 with 16 points. Chennai and Lucknow follow at the 2nd and 3rd spots with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Rajasthan Royals have slipped to 4th place with 10 points. RCB is at number 6, below KKR at number 5. PBKS and MI occupy 7th and 8th position respectively, each having 10 points in the bag. Hyderabad and Delhi are at number 9 and 10 spots, respectively, with 8 points each.
IPL 2023 Orange Cap
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf Du Plessis holds the Orange Cap with 511 runs. Rajasthan’s Yashasvi Jaiswal and Gujarat’s Shubman Gill hold second and third position with 477 and 469 runs, respectively. Chennai Super Kings' lethal opener Devon Conway is at number 5 with 458 runs while RCB legend Virat Kohli (419 runs) occupies 5th spot in IPL 2023 Orange Cap list.
IPL 2023 Purple Cap
Gujarat Titans' senior pacer Mohammed Shami (19 wickets at economy rate of 7.23) currently holds IPL 2023 Purple Cap. GT's Rashid Khan is at number two with as many wickets as Shami but a higher economy rate of 8.09. CSK’s Tushar Deshpande (19 wickets) is at third spot. MI's Piyush Chawla (17 wickets) occupies fourth spot. KKR's Varun Chakaravarthy is at the fifth spot with 17 wickets.
