Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a huge blow as Jaydev Unadkat suffered a shoulder injury while participating in the training session on Sunday. He was immediately sent to Mumbai for scans.  The left-arm pacer has been included in India’s squad for World Test Championship final against Australia. The incident transpired when Unadkat was bowling at the nets ahead of Lucknow’s clash against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. After a while pacer’s leg got stuck and as a result, he fell down on his left shoulder. He looked in pain and the team physio immediately attended him.

IPL’s official Twitter handle posted a video and wrote, See you back on the field soon JDUnadkat. Wishing a quick recovery to the left-arm pacer”.

“Unadkat has been sent to Mumbai for scans and hope nothing is major for him,” commentator Danny Morrison said on-air during the LSG vs RCB match.

“It’s stupid to have that string out there, the groundsmen have a lot to answer for,” Brett Lee gave his verdict.

Since the WTC final is on the card, the Indian team cannot afford more injuries as they are already struggling without Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer.  India and Australia will lock horns in the WTC Final from June 7 at The Oval. Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants skipper KL Rahul sustained an injury on his during an IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Monday. He had to leave the field with the help of physio since he was in sheer pain. The injury took place off the last ball of the second over when Faf du Plessis smashed a ball off Marcus Stoinis's delivery towards the extra cover region and Rahul chased the ball racing to the boundary and that is when he sustained an injury.
