After having an and start to their IPL 2023 campaign, Mumbai Indians bounced back and emerged as one of the strongest sides this season. The five-time champions will be locking horns against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their final league game on Sunday. Just ahead of their clash on Sunday, the team led by Rohit Sharma was spotted slogging in the gym while left-arm pacer Arjun Tendulkar grabbed everyone’s attention as he was seen doing an arm-wrestling competition.
MI's official Twitter handle posted a video where Arjun was seen assessing his power after he was spotted doing an arm-wrestling competition during the team's gym session.
Earlier, before Mumbai’s game against Lucknow, Arjun had disclosed that he was bitten by a dog. The junior Tendulkar made his much-awaited debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL) last month when Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma handed him the new ball to bowl the first over against two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede. Arjun was later dropped from Mumbai Indians (MI) squad after a few ordinary outings, where he could only pick up three wickets in four IPL matches.
After seeing his son play the first-ever IPL match for Mumbai Indians, Sachin Tendulkar was elated as he said, "This was a new experience for me because till now I have not actually gone and watched him play. I just wanted him to have the freedom to go out and express himself and do whatever he wanted to. And today also, I sat in the dressing room because I didn't want to let him move away from his plans and start looking at the mega screen here and suddenly realise that I'm watching him. I was inside. It is a different feeling because 2008 was the first season for me and 16 years down the line, he plays for the same team. Not bad".
