Mumbai Indians and India star, Jasprit Bumrah is getting back to training after a break due to his marriage in March. The 27-year old fast-bowler will be part of the Mumbai Indians who will begin their campaign on 9 April against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He will be returning to cricket after a short break. He had opted out of the India vs England ODI as well as T20I series due to “personal reasons.”
In a recent work-out video on instagram, Jasprit Bumrah is seen lifting weights and prepping himself for the IPL 2021. He wrote: “Quarantining and getting those reps in.”
BCCI Secretary, Jay Shah had informed (in a press release) before the 4th India vs England Test that Jasprit Bumrah has “made a request to BCCI to be released from India’s squad ahead of the fourth Test owing to personal reasons.”

As it turned out, the fast bowler got married to sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on 15th March. He got married in a private ceremony in Goa. Bumrah announced about his marriage in a Twitter post. He wrote: “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.”

The fast-bowler is currently in Quarantine and hasn’t joined the MI squad. He has been the prime bowler for Mumbai Indians since 2016. Last year in IPL 2020, Bumrah picked up 27 wickets in 15 matches at 6.73 runs per over. Mumbai won the IPL for the second consecutive time in 2020.
Bumrah would love to repeat his last year’s performance even this year.
