IPL 2021, DC vs MI: In an encounter between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on Tuesday witnessed the former beating the latter by six wickets. Looking at the scorecard, the encounter cannot be considered as one of the propelling T20 games, it was rather a careful chess-like battle.
Batting first, MI was able to post only 137/9 in stipulated 20 overs as veteran leg-spinner for DC, Amit Mishra, took 4 for 24 in his quota of 4 overs. In reply, Delhi did not go all cylinders out to chase down a moderately low total from T20 standards. Backed by Shikhar Dhawan and Steven Smith's innings, DC made the chase comfortably as they overhauled the target 138/4 in 19.1 overs.
While it looks like that the MI was outfoxed in all the departments there was a moment when skipper Rohit Sharma aka Hitman made fans go wow!
On the last delivery of the 4th over, Rohit lunged at R Ashwin's delivery as he knocked out the ball for a huge six with just one hand. MI captain shuffled a bit as he picked Ashwin's delivery from the slot to hammer it over extra cover for a single-handed-six.

Rohit Sharma was the highest scorer for his team as he made 30-ball 44. After the match, the MI skipper acknowledged his team has been struggling, batting-wise, when it came down to the middle overs.
“After the start, we got we should have batted better in the middle overs. It is happening time and again. We aren't able to capitalize on our starts and we need to understand as a batting unit," Rohit Sharma said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
"But you have to give credit to the Delhi bowlers, they kept it tight and kept taking wickets,” Rohit added.
With this loss Mumbai Indians now stands at 4th in the points table with two wins and two losses, while Delhi Capitals is at the second spot with three wins in 4 games they have played in IPL 2021.
